Hey yeah writers!
We do a ton of promoting for other writing blogs on Yeah Write, and with a pretty big follower-count milestone getting pretty close (we’ll let you know when we get there!), we were wondering if you would do a little promotion for us.
If y’all think your followers might like Yeah Write, and wouldn’t mind reblogging the above post (the image clicks through back to here), that’d be so awesome! Thanks!

Write about a group going out for ice cream. Who are they? A family, a couple, two dogs that find ice cream while rummaging through the garbage cans out back? Describe the setting, any characters, and the ice cream itself.

Write about having a special talent. What is it? Is it normal or peculiar? Does it draw attention? Perhaps the person uses it to their advantage. Maybe they get arrested, but because of their extreme lock-picking skill, they escape. Try to think of an imaginative plot!

Write about a party that nobody shows up to. What are their excuses? How does the host feel? Do they sulk around or get up to do something better? Maybe they are angry and seek revenge. Perhaps they cry to their cat. Be creative.
Using any of the word sets provided here, write sentences about or from the perspective of a character. The sentences should revolve around the words in the set. For example, if one word is ‘summer’ and your character is a snowman, write a sentence about it melting.
Write about someone stuck at an airport. Why are they there? Is their plane delayed? Are they kept in due to weather? What does the protagonist do for fun? Read gossip magazines? Do they wreak some havoc and ride the luggage carousels?

Write about a world where cartoons and humans coexist. Ignore the logical difficulties, and just be silly. What previously known characters do we interact with? Do they have any special abilities? For example, cartoon Spiderman can shoot webs. How do humans react to the talking animal cartoons?
Write about an event at an ancient amphitheater. Consider the time the story takes place. Perhaps you could write about gladiator battles, or old plays. If written in the present, maybe someone delves back on those times, or a modern event occurs. Be creative.
